emanating from the pool of existence... heart

feel your way to the pool of existence and then dive in, never to be you again. repeat as necessary.

you cannot think your way to the pool of existence; get off the mountain

this pool of existence does not, can not, have a name; in this world of mind, though, it is called satchitananda: being-consciousness-bliss

this name, satchitananda, that the sages have given to the pool of existence should not be confused as to be attributes of the pool itself

the name satchitananda was given to the pool of existence to give lie to the negative attributes that philosophers may mistakenly render it

it is called being to indicate that it's not nonexistent

it is called consciousness to indicate that it's neither insentient nor unconscious

it is called bliss to indicate that it is not the pervasive unhappiness of this world of the mind

**

this pool of existence has neither surface nor waves, but it has caused the near shores around it to be filled with ripples and waves

this shore surrounding the pool of existence is called the land of now; it is not of the thoughts of the past or the future or even present

this land of now, this land of ripples and waves emanating from the pool of existence, satchitananda, is also called the heart

these waves and ripples in the land of now emanating from the pool of existence-satchitananda-are called intuition, understanding, and love

intuition is that being, that 'not non-existence,' arising in the heart as a knowing of reality beyond the world of thought

understanding is that consciousness, that 'not insentience,' arising in the heart as a knowing of truth beyond the world of thought

love is that bliss, that 'not unhappiness,' arising in the heart as a knowing of oneness beyond the world of thought

**

in the west, this heart has been all but forgotten; the teachings of the east assume that you are living there or close to there already

in the west, the teachings of the east are often lost in the mind; there being no conduit of the heart, it all turns so cerebral, dry

in the west, it may be necessary to find your way, feel your way, to the heart first, before diving into that pool of existence

in the west, you may find yourself diving into what you think is the pool of existence, only to find you've gone deeper to the depth of mind

there's nothing wrong with intuition, love, & understanding; in the west, don't knock it 'til you've tried it: it may be the only way to go
